Los Angeles Returns Inspection and Repackaging

SHAREWAYS can receive returned goods and carry out an agreed process covering photos, inspection, eligible repair, repackaging, restocking or disposal. Each step should follow your written instructions and the product's operational requirements.

Returns handling is available as a standalone service. You do not need to purchase our freight or storage services.

Turn an inspection request into an agreed returns instruction

For a SHAREWAYS returns review, separate the request for evidence from permission to perform work. Send the return reference, SKU and quantity, requested photographs or checks, and the person authorized to decide the next step. Agree the inspection scope and charge before handling begins.

  • You specify the decision: the approved task, quantities, packaging or resale criteria, spending limit and the authorized decision contact. A general request to inspect does not itself approve repair, restocking or disposal.
  • SHAREWAYS confirms the accepted task: review the product, instructions and handling route before goods are sent or chargeable work proceeds. Work requiring professional licensing remains outside the confirmed scope.
  • Both sides keep the same instruction: link the accepted revision to the return reference and the agreed completion evidence. Changed quantities, tasks or disposal methods require renewed approval; unclear authority stays unresolved.

For an initial enquiry, provide a short business summary without customer personal information. Detailed work instructions belong in the agreed operating channel. Review the return decision trail · Prepare the quote inputs · Request a scoped returns review.

Which approval format should I use?

SHAREWAYS asks for written instructions or documented approval for the agreed return task. This published guidance does not prescribe one universal signature format for every request. Confirm the authorized decision-maker, accepted operating channel and approval format for your project before work starts. If a particular task or handling route needs an additional document, agree that requirement explicitly.

Keep the return reference, approved task, quantity, instruction revision and approval evidence together. Neither a blank worksheet nor a general inspection enquiry is permission to repair, restock or dispose of stock. Review the documented decision trail.

Approval-format clarification reviewed 21 October 2026; this does not waive project-specific authorization or document requirements.

Which published weight, battery and repair boundaries should I check before arranging a return?

SHAREWAYS' described outbound parcel service covers a finished packed weight above zero and up to 22 kg, including the carton and protective materials. This is an outbound service boundary, not a universal limit for inbound returns or freight. Return receiving and any later parcel dispatch need their own agreed product, package and task instructions; this does not promise acceptance of every size or weight. Products with installed batteries require product details, documentation and route-specific review before acceptance. Food and standalone or external batteries are outside the confirmed scope. Eligible repair tasks may be reviewed and separately accepted in writing; work requiring specialist licensing or professional qualifications remains outside scope. The licensing exclusion does not mean every eligible repair task is unavailable. Inspection and photographs do not certify product safety, warranty compliance or resale suitability. Confirm the actual product, task and route before sending goods.

Published first-party scope: packed outbound parcel weight · installed batteries · excluded products · repair boundary. Prepare the finished-parcel profile.

Service boundary clarification reviewed 21 October 2026. No carrier qualification, registration finding or additional service is established here.

Can written approval authorize SHAREWAYS to perform a repair that requires professional licensing?

No. Work requiring specialist licensing or professional qualifications is outside SHAREWAYS' confirmed service scope. A customer's written approval, budget limit or acceptance of risk does not expand that scope. Use an appropriately qualified specialist for such work. Photographs or inspection do not certify product safety, warranty compliance or resale suitability.

Review the published repair boundary. Written task approval identifies the permitted work; it does not establish a professional qualification or override the accepted product and task scope.

Scope clarification reviewed 21 October 2026; no service or qualification added.

Decide Before the Return Arrives

Agree on the return identifier, inspection checklist, photo requirements and decision rules. Define which items can be restocked, which require further review and which should be disposed of after approval.

Repair Has a Defined Boundary

Repair work is reviewed by product and task. Work requiring specialist licensing or professional qualifications is excluded from the confirmed service scope. Do not send a product for repair until the specific task, authorization, parts and safety requirements have been accepted.

Inspection does not automatically certify that a product is safe, warranty-compliant or suitable for resale. Your team must approve the resale criteria and any product-specific requirements. We do not promise that every returned item can be restored to saleable condition.

Repackaging, Restocking and Disposal

Provide packaging specifications and restocking instructions. Disposal requires documented approval and an agreed method. Where product or local rules require specialist handling, confirm an appropriate route before authorizing the work.

Separate returns inspection from repair and disposal

A returns workflow should define the return identifier, expected SKU, evidence to capture and the criteria used to assess condition. Agree in advance which outcomes may include restocking, repacking, holding for a decision or a separately approved disposal instruction. Photographs and a condition record support a decision; they do not establish a professional repair qualification or guarantee resale value. SHAREWAYS discusses returns receiving and inspection within the confirmed scope. Do not assume repair, data erasure, destruction or refunds are included without a specific written agreement and the required approval.

Can returned goods go straight back into stock?

Only under the condition criteria and approval rules agreed for that product. Identify the SKU and return, record the required evidence and hold unclear or damaged items for a decision.

Write a product-specific return authorization

How can I approve repackaging, eligible repair or disposal?

Reference the return ID, SKU, quantity, inspection record, permitted task and cost limit in a written instruction. Require a new approval for changed work or quantities. Confirm that SHAREWAYS has accepted the specific task before sending the goods; this is a suggested instruction format, not an authorization to perform work.

What is the difference between returned-product inspection and licensed professional repair?

Inspection records agreed observations such as identity, visible condition, accessories and photographs. Repair attempts to correct a defect and requires a separately accepted task. Work needing specialist licensing or professional qualifications is outside SHAREWAYS’ confirmed scope. Neither photographs nor inspection alone certify safety, warranty compliance or resale suitability.

What information should I provide before outsourcing returns processing?

Provide product and SKU details, expected quantities, return identifiers and reasons, required photographs and checks, condition grades, approval contacts, permitted outcomes and reporting needs. Flag installed batteries or other restrictions before shipment. Agree on fees and the handling route in writing.

Approve a defined return task and revision

Use one written instruction for the specific return, evidence and permitted work. The example below is a preparation format for your review; it is not an instruction to SHAREWAYS to perform work, an accepted price or proof that a customer task has happened.

For return [reference], instruction revision [number/date], review inspection evidence [reference] for [SKU and quantity]. Approve only [named task and scope] within [cost limit and currency]. Hold [excluded items or unresolved conditions]. Ask [authorized contact] before changing work, quantity, parts or disposal method. Return [agreed completion evidence] against this instruction reference.
  1. Identify and reconcile: match the return reference, SKU and quantity to the agreed receiving and inspection record. Keep differences visible rather than approving a different item by assumption.
  2. Separate proposed outcomes: state whether the instruction is to hold, repackage, restock, carry out an eligible accepted repair task or dispose. Receipt, inspection, refund and stock release are separate decisions.
  3. Set limits: name the permitted operation, quantities, packaging or parts requirements, cost limit and currency, approval contact and requested report. Confirm the product-specific route and task acceptance with SHAREWAYS.
  4. Approve a revision: retain one clear instruction reference and version. A changed task, quantity, cost or disposal method requires an updated approval; the old instruction is not an unlimited authorization.
  5. Stop on an unresolved exception: hold work where identity, condition, safety, repair eligibility or authority is unclear. Work requiring specialist licensing or professional qualifications remains outside the confirmed scope.
  6. Reconcile completion: agree what quantities, photographs, work record or disposition record will be returned. Compare the actual report and billed scope with the accepted revision. Inspection or photographs alone do not certify safety, warranty compliance or resale suitability.

A disposal record, special handling route or certificate is not automatically included by this preparation format. Agree the required evidence and available method before authorizing disposal. Do not infer a refund decision, automatic restocking or guaranteed recovered resale value.

Use the blank return-authorization fields (CSV) · Prepare the return evidence · Check the company-confirmed returns scope · Check the repair boundary. Do not submit customer personal information, credentials or payment details through the public enquiry.

Written approval and its agreed evidence

This preparation guide uses the terms written instruction and documented approval. It does not prescribe one universal signature method. Agree the acceptable approval evidence and authorized contact for the specific task before work; do not infer an executed signature, accepted price or permission to dispose of goods from a blank worksheet.

For ecommerce returned products, inspection records agreed observations and supports a disposition decision. It is different from a building re-inspection after contractor repairs, and does not establish a professional repair qualification. SHAREWAYS excludes work requiring specialist licensing or professional qualifications from its confirmed scope. Unclear safety, identity, eligibility or authority remains subject to review.

Clarification reviewed 20 October 2026. Actual authorization and execution require the accepted product-specific written agreement.
